These reports may be of assistance in cases where the intellectual or cognitive functioning of a child or adolescent needs to be formally evaluated.

Forensic neuropsychological assessment reports may be requested for a variety of purposes:

• to determine the level of a client's intellectual abilities

• to determine the presence, nature, or severity of cognitive deficits subsequent to an acquired brain injury

• to determine the presence of a developmental cognitive disorder, where this condition may pertain to the matters before the court

• to assist the management or treatment of a child or adolescent client
